Nichole Krechting, PSYD
Dr. Krechting is the CEO and Clinical Director of Loudoun Wellness Center. She is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of Virginia and New York. Her experience includes providing evidence-based treatments to forensic, military and student populations, as well as first responders. Extensive training has been obtained in therapies such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT; Intensive training by Behavioral Tech/Linehan Institute in November 2016), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE) and Exposure and Response Prevention (Intensive training by Behavior Therapy Training Institute in May 2022). Dr. Krechting's clinical focus has been treating children and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, attention deficit, trauma symptoms, and personality disorders.
Dr. Krechting obtained her Master's Degree in Forensic Psychology at CUNY John Jay. Here she conducted research at St. Luke's Roosevelt on the Addictions and Trauma Unit. Furthermore, Dr. Krechting has completed an internship on a children's inpatient unit in New York. Following her Master's program she attended the American School of Professional Psychology at Washington, DC. She earned a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. During this time, clinical rotations were completed at Martinsburg Veteran's Hospital, Friendship Charter Schools, and various placements in community counseling. Her doctoral research examined the biological and psychosocial stressors on the expression of ASPD. Dr. Krechting also has participated on a comprehensive DBT team in Northern Virginia.
